Leucospermum is a relatively easy shrub to grow in warm climates. It likes good air circulation, full sunlight, and ample drainage. In fact, drainage is so vital that these shrubs are often planted on slopes and hills. Do not fertilize. Pincushion protea can also be grown indoors. Sadly, Leucospermum is a relatively short-lived perennial.
